As the weather gets cold, I can’t help but think of the first ‘Stardust‘ that is just around the corner.
This little, cute snowflake image has been featured in two of our patterns, Stardust and Sleigh Bell Trio. I grabbed our beautiful, blue “Perfect Union” collection, Stardust pattern, Aurifil 2310 thread, and Stardust templates and am ready for some scrap flurries in my sewing room.
Start by cutting strips in blue following the pattern.
Edyta’s Tip: I’ve found that the “Perfect Union” Jelly Roll gives me a great variety of colors.
Select two large blue strips and two small light strips.
Sew unit D to the left side of small Triangle C.
Notice how I position my piece.

Sew unit E to the right side of small Triangle C.
Don’t forget to pin it
Edyta’s Tip: I absolutely love to use my little, wooden press for this step.
Add the previous units to the Diamond B background.
Now the fun begins! We’re going to add a 1″ strip to previous unit as shown above.
Lay out all units into your snowflake formation.
Sew into two halves.
