Welcome to another exciting Laundry Basket Quilts event! Join our Sarah’s Garden Fabric Contest, a fun and creative quilting challenge celebrating the beauty of Sarah’s Garden fabrics. Sew along, get inspired, and show off your quilting skills!

We’re thrilled to kick off the new year with the Sarah’s Garden Fabric Contest from Laundry Basket Quilts! If you love quilting, sewing, or fabric crafting, this is your perfect opportunity to unleash your creativity and be part of a vibrant maker community while celebrating handmade artistry, friendship, inspiration, learning, and sewing.  

Create a unique project using our gorgeous Sarah’s Garden fabric collection, showcase your talent, and get inspired by the beautiful creations of fellow makers. Participation is completely FREE and open to everyone—from seasoned quilters to beginners just getting started.

This contest is about more than winning prizes—it’s about community, creativity, and connection. By participating, you’ll:

  • Share fresh ideas
  • Discover new techniques  
  • Connect with fellow fabric lovers
  • Celebrate creativity in all its forms

Whether you experiment boldly or keep things classic, this event is guaranteed to be SEW much fun!

How to Enter Contest: 

Entering is fun and easy! Just follow these four easy steps: 

  1. Create an original project featuring Sarah's Garden Fabric. 
  2. Snap clear photos of your finished piece. 
  3. Upload your photo and a short description of your inspiration. 
  4. Vote for your favorite projects and share encouraging feedback

Entry period: February 14, 2026 -September 1, 2026                

Winners announced: September 11, 2026 on our blog

Fabric Options for the Contest: 

We offer three Sarah’s Garden fabric options, each sold in 1-yard panels. You may use any of the following:  

•  Sarah's Garden 42" wide fabric

•  Sarah's Garden 108" wide fabric

• Sarah's Garden Mini 108" wide fabric (with smaller ½" hexagons)

You’re also welcome to mix in any Laundry Basket Quilts beautiful fabrics, including our Farmer’s Daughter collection, which pairs beautifully with the Sarah's Garden fabric .

Farmer’s Daughter bundles are available in:
Half Yard, Fat Quarter, Fat Eighth, Layer Cake, Charm Pack, and Jelly Rolls.  

Project Size & Style Guidelines: 

  • Minimum Size: 20" square
  • Maximum size: no limit! (quilt, table runner, jacket, bag, etc.).
