Holiday Forest - LIVE Show Quilt Along Information

Welcome Everyone!

I am SEW excited to quilt with you

this Friday, Dec 17th at 11 AM (PST),

during our LIVE show!

We will be quilting together to make

blocks from our Holiday Forest.

If you're quilting along, you will need:

Holiday Forest pattern, your favorite jelly roll, Aurifil thread 2310, Best Press,

Sewline fabric pencil, scissors, ruler, rotary, and basic sewing supplies.

For my little forest, I chose the Linen Texture II jelly roll and

2¼ yards of A-9057-L3 for my light background fabric.

We will start by pressing our fabrics with

Best Press, then cut them according to

the first page's directions in our

Holiday Forest pattern.

With a Sewline pencil, we will

mark the stitching line on the

back of the light fabric.

We will repeat this step for all of the

tree sections. Pin pieces together

before sewing on the drawn line.

The tree trunk is great practice

to check your ¼" seam allowance.

This unit should be 7½" unfinished.

Time for trimming!

Make sure you position your ruler to stay ¼" from the seamline, then trim the corners.

Once the unit is finished, make sure to press seam allowances toward the dark fabric.

Sew all units together. Press and trim.
