Welcome back and I have a wonderful surprise for you. Simple and big is our block today!
I have a feeling you might even have some time to sit down and relax after this block.
For block 13, you will need: (choose the fabrics shown above from your Super Bloom bundle)
Fat quarter blue big print fabric
Fat quarter light big print fabric
We will be making 8 blocks. The cutting directions are listed below:
8 blue half-square triangles (HST) cut from 4 squares 6-7/8″
8 light half-square triangles (HST) cut from 4 squares 6-7/8″
Place light and blue HST right sides together, pin and sew.
Press your HST unit open,
and press your seam allowance open for this block.
Trim block to 6-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ using your Creative Grids 6-1/2″ ruler.
Repeat until you have completed 8 Mystery Quilt Block 13s.
Our thirteenth blocks will be positioned as shown above in our Mystery Quilt! Notice the Block 13 rotation creating a star in our quilt layout.
