Summertime

Summertime is full of travels – car trips, quilt shows, good friends and good food!

Our trip to Oswego, IL this past June included all of these! I was honored to do a presentation at Oswego’s first outdoor quilt show.

My daughter Delfina and I laid all of the quilts on a antique bed in preparation for the bed turning.

The weather was fantastic for a quilt show and there were plenty of chairs ready for the quilter to find a great spot.

There was a wonderful turnout of quilters.

Quilts were hanging everywhere.

Instead of cars, main street was filled with quilts, quilters and wonderful vendors!

I was able to snap a couple pictures before the show started.

From presentation to book signing in Prairie Stitches Quilt Shop and seeing good friends, this day was getting better and better!

There were many hugs and pictures, and of course a lot of fun shopping!

Even some show and tell of projects in progress and lots of good food. As I ate my lunch, I also had the chance to enjoy a wonderful antique quilt presentation. Below are a few pictures of the antique quilts that I just loved!

Next year the show in Oswego is planned for June 1 2013 (2nd if it rains), be sure to mark your calendars – I’m already looking forward to more quilts and another fantastic pork sandwich – Yummy!

Max had a busy day visiting with everyone as well, his ride home was full of yawns and snoring…

Stop back soon, I’m hoping to do some catching up on all of my summer quilting adventures!
