Hello and welcome to my blog! I am thrilled to be part of the Moda LOVE Blog Hop today along with designers Kathy Schmidt and Bridgitte from Zen Chic.
I’m Edyta Sitar from Laundry Basket Quilts and I LOVE designing fabrics for you! My new collection from Moda is called “Heart’s Content” which is full of beautiful prints and colorful batiks to match. I LOVE my fabrics. 🙂 The “Sweetheart” quilt above is made with “Heart’s Content” that releases in Nov 2014.
There are lots of things that I LOVE, one of them is summer and the wildflower/weed bouquets that I receive from my children.
This summer we have a new LOVE that joined our family, his name is Oliver!
I LOVE the summer colors that inspires me and can be found in unexpected places.
I LOVE the farmers market for all of nature’s goodies like honey…
… and fresh fruit.
Every summer I look forward to our family reunion which equals LOVE, LOVE, LOVE,(and lots of good food). Even as I’m writing this post I can feel the LOVE. This year at the reunion I decided to share something that I LOVE with my family – a little bit of Quilting!
Our dining room quickly became the sewing room.
Young and old stitched together, patiently sharing…
…trimming…
… and helping each other.
There were many beautiful smiles and feelings of accomplishment, I think everyone was LOVING the process of creating!
The couch became a designing wall.
One minute their hands were full of crazy pieces.
And it seemed like only a few minutes later they were modeling with their projects!
It seemed like everything stopped outside.
The hay dried and the garden grew.
The hammock by the pool was empty.
All of the action and LOVE was inside. Some were busy ironing…
… while others only dreamed of quilting.
But in the end we all emerged full of LOVE from spending time together and being reminded how much we LOVE this old family tradition.
As soon as their quilts were finished some made plans to give them away with unconditional LOVE to those who could not make the reunion.
Others held them tight.
And just like I have shared some Moda LOVE with my family, I would love to share some Moda LOVE with you!
