This project is perfect for ANY level quilter, beginner to advanced! It may challenge you a little, but I'll be there to help and you will grow your quilting skills as we have in the past.
We will be cutting using a rotary and our Mystery 2022 Templates -or-
Other notions you will need are:
our Sew Daisy Fabric Markers, and a seam press.
Edyta's Tip: I also recommend the 4½ x 12½ Creative Grids ruler to square off your blocks.
For piecing, we will be using a sewing machine and Aurifil Thread, 2310.
We will share the block instructions and information with you as we go.
Quilt Info: • Blocks are 6” tall finished size
• We will make 12 units using our Alaska Ruler • The finished quilt size is 60½" x 60½"
• This is going to be SO MUCH FUN!
Fabric Requirements for Mystery Quilt 2022: Bluebird fat quarter bundle -or- your own fabrics (You will need 12 fat quarters in blue and 8 fat quarters in light) Additionally you will need: Templates: Creative Grids® Alaska Ruler -or- Mystery 2022 Templates
(Choose one, you do not need both. With every clue we will also have PDF templates, but for accuracy and repeated cutting we highly recommend one of the above acrylic options above.) A-9850-B: 1 yard total light fabric for background. A-9848-LB: 1 yard total for simple corners to achieve original quilt size -or- 3 yards total if you want to add a border to your quilt (finished quilt size with border is 70½" x 70½").
A-9845-B: 2/3 yard fabric for binding -or- there will be a few scraps left over from the Bluebird fat quarter bundle that can be used for a scrappy binding.
We are so thankful for everyone that wants to join, and we look forward to starting this quilt with you and I’m beyond excited to share another original Laundry Basket Quilts design with everyone!
Thank you for your patience, participation, and kindness.
This pattern will be available through our Blog and YouTube posts during this 2 week event, Mon, March 14th - Sat, March 26th [NEW dates].
